How Norethia uses account, routine, and subscription data across web and app.

Who we are
Norethia is a skincare-combination guidance product. If you have privacy questions, access requests, or deletion requests, contact support@norethia.com.
What we collect
We may collect account details such as your email address, display name, authentication identifiers, plan status, saved products, saved routines, saved checks, usage statistics, and product information you choose to enter. If you turn on profile modes such as reactive-skin caution, barrier repair, or prescription mode, those selections can be stored with your saved checks and routines so your guidance stays consistent across devices.
How we use your data
We use data to create and secure your account, run checks, save your routines and products, sync activity between web and app, enforce free and premium limits, process subscriptions, and maintain service reliability. We do not use your information to provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
Why we process it
We process account, saved-content, and subscription data to provide the service you ask us to provide. We may also process limited data where reasonably necessary to keep the product secure, prevent misuse, support billing, and understand current entitlement status. If you choose optional profile modes, you can change or remove those settings later in the product.
Legal bases for processing (UK GDPR): We process personal data to provide the service and fulfil our contract with you (for example, account features, saving routines/checks, syncing across devices, and enforcing plan limits). We also process certain data for our legitimate interests, such as keeping Norethia secure, preventing misuse, and maintaining service reliability. Where we rely on consent (for example, optional analytics or marketing), you can withdraw consent at any time.
Storage and service providers
Norethia uses Supabase for authentication and account-linked storage. The website uses local browser storage to keep your session active and preserve in-progress checker state between page loads, no tracking or advertising data is stored this way. Stripe handles website checkout. The mobile app uses RevenueCat and the relevant app store billing platform to verify subscription entitlement status. We store only the subscription identifiers and status needed to manage access.
Reference data sources
Some searchable product reference data may come from Open Beauty Facts. That is public product data, not personal data that you submit to us.
Some product data is sourced from Open Beauty Facts (openbeautyfacts.org), contributed by the Open Beauty Facts community under the Open Database License (ODbL).
Open Beauty Facts data is kept separate from Norethia-reviewed product submissions.
Where data may be processed
Our service providers may process data outside your country or region. Where they do, they are responsible for the safeguards that apply to their services and infrastructure.
Retention
Account-linked content is kept while your account is active, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. We may retain limited billing, security, or audit records where reasonably necessary to meet legal, tax, fraud, or accounting obligations. Browser or device storage stays on your device until it is cleared.
Your choices
You can update your display name in account settings and delete saved content inside the product. To request full account deletion, including all saved products, routines, checks, and your account record, email support@norethia.com with the subject line “Delete my account” and we will action it within 30 days. You can also contact us to request access to or correction of your data.

US privacy notice: Depending on your state, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. Norethia does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To make a request, contact support@norethia.com.
